  • Details: "Alpha & Beta Centauri as seen over lava flowing into Ocean" on big island of Hawaii. This lava flows over 20 miles in a lava tube from Volcano National Park and explodes as it hits the ocean water creating some 600 acres of new land each year. The small lighted dots on each side of the glowing plume are photographers getting close up shots (as well as volcano lava tans). This shot was taken about a half mile away.
